Our Commitment To Accessible Design

We believe the web should work for everyone. This website has been built with accessibility in mind, using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our design and development reference standard.

Our Aim

We have used the WCAG 2.1 Level AA criteria to guide decisions about this website's design, structure and functionality. Our intent is to make this site as accessible as possible for all users, including those who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers.

Accessibility is an evolving area of practice. Whilst Level AA serves as our benchmark, we recognise that no website can guarantee complete conformance at all times, and we are committed to addressing issues as they are brought to our attention.

In practical terms, this means the site has been designed with keyboard navigation in mind so that interactive elements can be used without a mouse. We have used semantic HTML and ARIA attributes to support screen readers and similar tools, and text and interface elements have been designed with colour contrast in mind, targeting the WCAG AA minimum ratio. The site is also designed to remain usable when text size is increased within the browser.

Known Limitations

We aim to be transparent about areas where the experience may not yet fully meet our accessibility goals. Some older PDF documents on this site may not be fully accessible to screen reader users. If you need an alternative format for any document or piece of content, please contact us and we will do our best to help.
